Smart Paws Pet Insurance for dogs or cats below 8 years of age at commencement of the policy
If your dog or cat is under 8 years of age when buying your policy, you will only pay a standard deductible of CHF 100 per diagnosis/full treatment on all our insurance products. All other costs will be reimbursed by Smart Paws up to the annual total limit selected by you.
All of the insurance products offered INCLUDE the following:
Veterinary fees for diagnosis, treatment, surgery, medications and hospitalization for illness, diseases and injury.
Prescription drugs and dressings.
Complementary treatments prescribed by your vet.
Emergency-only dental treatment (not routine cleaning).
Worldwide emergency treatment for up to three months.
What is NOT covered by the policy
Costs related to continuing medical conditions already known to exist before the policy is purchased.
Costs for microchipping, routine health checks, all vaccinations, or elective neutering.
Costs for preventative treatments such as flea/tick/worming treatments, or grooming.
Costs for dental cleaning or weight management treatments.
Costs in connection with pregnancy, false pregnancy or infertility.

For dogs and cats over 8 years of age, you pay a standard deductible of CHF 100 per diagnosis/full treatment for all our insurance products, plus 20% of the remaining costs. We reimburse you 80% of each invoice submitted subject to the annual limit selected by you.
